Commemorative Event for the Centenary of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s Visit to Switzerland

7192-800-300x2162011 is the 100th anniversary of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s historic trip to Europe. On this occasion He blessed Switzerland with His presence. “The House of Justice intends to call the Bahá’ís of the world to reflect deeply upon ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s example and arise to follow in His path of service during the next stage of unfoldment of the Divine Plan.” (The Universal House of Justice, 25 October 2009)

Our community will respond to the call of the Universal House of Justice by organizing, among others, a commemorative event in Geneva, on August 27 and 28. Reserve those dates for an unforgettable event, following in the Master’s footsteps, around Lake Geneva, and les Gorges du Diable, reflecting on how to respond to His call when He said: “O that I could travel, even though on foot and in the utmost poverty, to these regions, and, raising the call of ‘Yá Bahá’u’l-Abhá’ in cities, villages, mountains, deserts and oceans, promote the divine teachings! This, alas, I cannot do. How intensely I deplore it! Please God, ye may achieve it.” (‘Abdu’l-Bahá, Tablets of the Divine Plan, pp. 34-35)

Distinguished international speakers, special presentations, interesting visits, a lot of music and a very warm ambiance will be part of this fantastic weekend. More information
will be coming soon.

You may contact the Task Force for the National Commemoration of the Centennial of the Master’s Visit at with questions or if you would like to help with the event.
