THE BAHÁ'Í OFFICE FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN IN SWITZERLAND

The acceptance of the equality of the sexes is seen by Bahá'u'lláh (the Founder of the Bahá'í Faith) as a prerequisite for the establishment of world peace. The Bahá'í Women's Association of Switzerland, as a member of the Swiss Federation of Women's Organizations (BSF), hosts gatherings at the local level, organizes conferences at the national level and is on the whole committed to promoting the advancement of women in Swiss society and to contribute to the bringing about of full equality. More than half of the membership of the national governing body of the Swiss Bahá'í community consists of women.
